Truffle hunting in Tuscany

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of truffle hunting! We will begin with a brief introduction to the secrets of truffles and the faithful dogs trained for this unique activity. Then, we will enter the surrounding woods, in search of the precious ripe truffles.

Every exploration is an adventure: we never know how many truffles we will find, but the thrill of discovery is guaranteed. Sometimes the harvest is abundant, other times less, but thanks to my experience in choosing the right woods, the chances of success are always high.

At the end of the experience, each participant will receive a few free fresh truffles, along with precious advice on how to enjoy and enhance them at their best. An unforgettable experience that will bring you into contact with nature and one of its most delicious treasures!

We had an amazing experience at our truffle hunt. We drove 2 hours because we were staying in Camaiore and it was worth every mile. Domenico knows everything about truffles and the nature. He was an excellent guide. His dogs Titta and Cuba are two furry hunters full of energy. So amazing to watch them running and sniffing the forest looking for the truffle treasures.
Afterwards we ate a truffle carpaccio made from the truffles we found, together with the olive oil they make. Also really amazing!

So when in the area or not… go on a truffle hunt!

The tour was so much fun. You get to interact and play with Domenico’s dogs. Of course, the best part was the walk through the woods with the dogs and searching for truffles. His dogs Cuba and Titta were true professionals at sniffing out some lovely summer truffles for us. Domenico is a great guide, he told us probably all there is about truffles. We managed to find a handfull of summer truffles, which were afterwards served to us freshly grated in a few different dishes at their local family run agriturismo - Fattoria Sant'Andrea. Domenico was so accommodating, we had a morning hunt scheduled but it ended up raining so he worked with our schedule to make sure we were able to get a hunt in. Domenico was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions we used google translate (audio translate option)  for some detailed questions we asked and it worked perfect. Domenico Truffle hunter

I was born into a family of truffle hunters, where the passion for this precious search ran through everyone’s veins since the time of my great-grandparents. Since I was a child, I accompanied my grandfather in the woods, helping him train the dogs and immersing myself in a family tradition that has its roots around 1920, learning all the secrets of the trade. And so, the tradition was passed down from generation to generation, and I grew up immersed in this fascinating universe, becoming part of a story that continues to live through my family.
